UF agriculture program unites farmers, consumers

On Wednesday night in downtown Gainesville, you can find Amber Geller at the Union Street Farmers’ Market distributing fresh produce to consumers at no cost. What appears to be an unfair trade is actually part of the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.

Voter ID laws rig the system, threaten democracy

Former Rep. Jim Wright (D-Tex.) once held one of the most prominent political positions in the United States. From 1987 to 1989, Wright served as speaker of the House of Representatives. However, last Nov. 2, Wright found he might not even be able to cast a ballot in his state’s elections.

The fireworks finale over Ben Hill Griffin Stadium marks the end of the 90th annual Gator Growl during UF Homecoming Friday evening. The Fray, Sister Hazel and the UF Fightin’ Gator Marching Band performed for students, alumni and guests.

Gator Growl performances, fireworks wow crowds

The cold weather could not stop the excitement in the Swamp Friday night as performances by the UF Fightin’ Gator Marching Band, Albert and Alberta, Sister Hazel and The Fray pumped up the Gator Nation for its 90th Gator Growl, Footprints in the Swamp.
