No. 4 Florida stunned in midweek contest by UCF

As they faced a 2-0 deficit, most of Wednesday evening had not gone in favor of the No. 4 Florida Gators. However, the UCF Knights delivered the final dagger in the bottom of the fifth inning. Coming into this contest 7-3 in its last 10 against the Knights, and undefeated since a 7-0 loss in Gainesville four years ago, this was unfamiliar territory for Florida.


In what were traditionally seen as male-dominated fields, women in STEM are finding camaraderie with each other in new clubs at the University of Florida.

UF women in STEM code to close the gender gap

Women made up about 30% of College of Engineering graduates in the 2023-2024 academic year, according to the most recent data from UF Institutional Planning and Research. In comparison, 57% of total degree recipients across the university that year were women.
