Q&A: Rooster Teeth's Burnie Burns

Rooster Teeth, an Austin-based production company known for its online content, released its first-ever feature-length film, “Lazer Team,” in theatres Wednesday. Crowd-funded through Indiegogo, the comedy features a misfit team that must put aside its differences to save the planet from an alien threat. Tickets for nearby showings can be bought at lazerteamthemovie.com. The movie will also debut on YouTube Red in early February.

Editorial: You can now vote to approve online SG voting - finally

On Wednesday afternoon, the UF Election Commission decided to allow an amendment about online voting to appear on the Spring 2016 Student Government election ballot. This means, in two weeks, UF students will be able to vote for or against online voting for future SG elections.

Column: The problem is Hollywood, not the academy

Not even a week after this year’s Oscar nominations were released, Jada Pinkett Smith, the wife of Hollywood icon Will Smith, did what all noble public figures do and took to Facebook to express her dissatisfaction. Smith and her supporters, one of them being director Spike Lee, are calling for a boycott of the Oscars. Why? Because of the lack of people of color in the nominations.
