Don’t buy into minimum wage myths this election

Every few months, a new issue takes prominence on the political scene, and most people quickly embrace a solution before considering any of its consequences. The latest political trend to gain popular support has been increasing minimum wage from its current federal rate of $7.25 an hour to $10.10 per hour. Supporters of a minimum wage increase often frame such a proposal as a cure-all for what ails the U.S. economy.

Florida cross country struggles at Wisconsin adidas Invitational

The Florida men and women's cross country team’s both entered this weekends race at Wisconsin with promise of having success. Florida unfortunately left the Badger State with two disappointing finishes. Both teams were looking to improve off of their 2013 Wisconsin adidas Invitational finishes were they finished 22nd respectively.  The finishes Friday proved to be anything but improvement, running away from was expected with a 36th place race from the men and 38th out of 41 for the women.

Florida volleyball sweeps Arkansas

In a battle to stay undefeated in the Southeastern Conference, No. 8 Florida volleyball swept unranked Arkansas in one of the Gators’ most highly contested matches of the season.
