Graduate assistants deserve a better contract

Over the past several months, Graduate Assistants United GAU has been bargaining with UF administration to end fees and raise the minimum wage; include specific health care language that guarantees dental and vision insurance; and protect graduate assistant families through family medical leave and child care.

Gators injury situation in flux as season nears conclusion

Linebacker Neiron Ball (ankle) and wide receiver Andre Debose (sprained knee) are doubtful for Florida’s game against Jacksonville State on Saturday. Ball injured his ankle early in Florida’s 27-20 win against Louisiana on Saturday, while Debose missed the game entirely.

Defense keys Gators victory in home opener

With 7:30 left in the game, Alabama State’s Timothy Coleman went for the jumper, only to be denied by center Patric Young. Although it was only his second block of the game, Young led the No. 10 Gators’ defensively in at 84-35 win against the Hornets.
