Gators 2012 oral commit Hardin breaking the kicker mold

Austin Hardin is 5-foot-11, 200 pounds, squats twice that weight and maxed out benching 290 pounds last year. He said his 40-yard dash clocks in at 4.4 seconds. He regularly takes snaps for Atlanta Marist High as a corner, a strong safety or, depending on the sugar content of his coach’s breakfast cereal, a halfback.

Correction

In Tuesday's edition of the Alligator, a headline stated that Gainesville residents can take Spanish courses for $499 a month. Classes will cost $499 for a semester-long program. Also, survival Spanish begins Oct. 31 instead of Oct. 3.

Obama isn't 'walking on eggshells'

Regarding this week's cartoon of President Barack Obama "walking on egg shells" around the Middle East conflict, I would like to point out that Obama and his administration have taken a clear stance on the Palestinians' recent request for statehood. In his address to the U.N. General Assembly, Obama reasserted his stance that negotiations are the only path to peace between the Israelis and Palestinians.
