Motorcycles are dangerous — I might buy one anyway

Through the window of a Regional Transit System bus, you longingly stare at the motorcyclist next to you. Clad in black gear, he takes off at a red light and speeds toward campus. “Stop requested. For your safety: if crossing the street...” You tune it out and daydream of a reality without buses.

UF qualifies eight for NCAAs on Day 2 of East Preliminary

Clear skies covering USF Track and Field Stadium on Friday turned to floods of heavy rain accompanied by bright flashes of lightning. It was the second day that the weather delayed the last event for UF’s men’s and women’s track and field teams, but for the second time, another Florida qualifier for NCAA Outdoor Championships was the result.


UF starting pitcher Aleshia Ocasio gave up a season-high five runs against Texas A&M, who got a hit in every inning off the UF senior.

Florida drops Game 2 of Super Regional to force rubber match

With her team down one run, UF pinch hitter Danielle Romanello stepped up to the plate with two outs, a runner on first and an opportunity to ignite a seventh-inning rally for the second-straight night. After the count reached 1-1, the freshman took to two big hacks at pitches from Texas A&M’s Payton McBride but couldn’t put metal on the softball to extend the game.
