Brissett earns first victory as starter, defense dominates

In Week 3, NFL fans witnessed a former Gator quarterback maintain New England’s perfect record on Thursday Night Football. Fans also watched playmakers on Philadelphia and Washington come up big in rivalry wins, two former national champions showcased their veteran presence on defense and four rookies from the class of 2016 stuffed the stat sheet as Florida alumni engaged in a memorable Week 3.

Three things we learned from Florida’s first loss

After being rocked at Rocky Top, the Florida football team left its somber locker room and jumped on the team plane back to Gainesville. Every player re-watched the 38-28 loss to Tennessee on his iPad during the flight, in disbelief that they had let an 18-point halftime lead morph into a 10-point loss. After a day to process what happened, here are three things we learned from coach Jim McElwain’s press conference on Monday.

Brissett quarterbacking Patriots, two INTs for Haden

Week 2 of the NFL season gave Gators fans plenty to watch: a Florida transfer quarterbacking the Patriots, two Gators leading the Redskins’ offense, Joe Haden intercepting two passes from Joe Flacco and Dante Fowler breaking through the backfield against San Diego.
