I hope you Gators all had a great Thanksgiving holiday with your friends and family! I am writing to you today with some updates on what your Student Government has been up to lately. I’ll touch on some new initiatives we’ve been working on as well as a summary of what else SG has accomplished so far this year.

200 fewer students voted in this Fall election compared to last year.
This fall’s election has 50 candidates run on Impact Party's ticket and 43 candidates ran under Inspire Party's ticket, according to a list of candidates provided by Supervisor of Elections Henry Fair. This election more contested seats than Fall 2017 elections when 42 seats had multiple candidates.
5,517 students cast a ballot for the first day of SG voting
