UF’s honors program changes requirements for completion

In the past, honors students were required to take four honors courses and participate in an internship, research, community service or study abroad. Students entering the honors college after Summer B 2012 will be required to graduate with honors from their college and earn at least 14 points for participating in both academic and enrichment activities.

Students and residents invited to discuss presidential search

The university will host an open forum from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Presidents Room of Emerson Alumni Hall to discuss what type of qualities the next UF president should have. Attendees can give their input regarding UF’s character and accomplishments and its future president.

The Reitz Union offers leisure courses

The Reitz Union offers leisure courses, or informal classes taken for fun, year-round. The classes meet periodically at the Reitz Union or at other locations in Gainesville, making them popular for students, faculty members and locals alike. People enroll each semester by the hundreds.
