Unlike his teammates, Connor Mitchell didn’t have any opportunities to waste. The redshirt sophomore singled home Vickash Ramjit on the first pitch he saw for a walk-off win against Jacksonville.

Taylor Gushue slapped first base coach Don Norris’s hand after smacking a two-run single into right field. Florida, starving for the big hit, needed its catcher to come through in the eighth down a run.
