For the second weekend in a row, the Southeastern Conference schedule will have the Gators away from Gainesville and in two different SEC cities in three days.
I encourage my fellow readers to avoid fallacious attacks on the Alligator and to stop implying a false political dichotomy when it is perfectly possible to be moderate in reporting.
I was cutting myself shaving this morning when I wondered, "Why isn't crazy facial hair popular anymore?" It certainly looks better than a face full of bandages.
A Gainesville High School teacher was arrested Wednesday after he was accused of having sex with a 17-year-old.
Wes Hunt's rambling denunciation of the ignorant voter was hilarious but misguided. The essence of democracy is choice - including the choice not to participate in the political process or to select the dumbest candidate.
Balancing responsibility and still managing to go out is one of the biggest problems facing college students. Between classes and bills, it sometimes seems as though fun takes a backseat.
Indie rock group The Walkmen somewhat defy their so-called "indie" branding. With with heavy influences from Bob Dylan and The Kinks, The Walkmen combine emotional lyrics with a throwback to classic rock roots, which doesn't exactly fit into the "indie rock" box - especially since the band crosses genres with songs featured films such as "Spider-Man 3" and television cult classic "The O.C."

In the upcoming election, one Florida county will try out a new electronic voting system that will allow soldiers and those abroad to vote without sending in paper ballots.
A fantastical view of the world's sleazier characters, "Choke" is a surreal softcore porn movie where the story is better - and more appealing - than the sex but just as graphic. Self-proclaimed sex addict and medical school dropout Victor Mancini (Sam Rockwell), cons people into loving him by pretending to choke at restaurants and having others save him. He then uses these people for money to keep his dying mother, Ida Mancini (Anjelica Huston), in "nice" hospital facilities. Content in this wayward lifestyle, he meets his mother's new doctor, Paige Marshall (Kelly Macdonald), who, with an almost angelic demeanor, manages to turn Mancini's life upside down by telling him he might be Jesus's half clone forged from the ancient holy foreskin. It's pretty mind-boggling.
Saying that Bobby Petrino's debut as a Southeastern Conference coach has been a disappointment would be an understatement.
For students annoyed by the registration volunteers, there is a solution that will prevent them from coming anywhere near you - wear a McCain/Palin shirt.
All right, I've had enough with the "Barackin' the Vote" and "McLeading the Polls."
I'm an optimist when I look at transportation: If it's faster than walking, it's good enough for me. Stopping never comes to mind.
Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae aren't stopping UF students from going overseas, but the high price of studying abroad has forced students to alter their plans to make the trip more affordable.
It didn't take long for this freshman to make an impact.
