Despite the endless amount of music festivals popping up, certain festivals have cemented themselves with unique identities. Coachella boasts endless cameos and celebrity sightings, Bonnaroo prides itself in being the modern day Woodstock, and others fit certain criteria their dedicated fans now expect to be self-evident.
The World Cup brings about excitement, comradeship and pride for one’s country. In the midst of the excitement you might think you would do anything to be in Brazil for the 2014 World Cup. But the grass is not always greener on the other side.
Through as much of my childhood as I can remember, I had a friend — a best friend — that was attached to my hip at all times. I can recall very few memories prior to high school that didn’t involve the two of us, junk food, and staying up until 6 a.m. When high school came around, we went to different schools. With its energetic, rich, and vibrant culture and history, Pamplona welcomes more than a million guests from Spain and around the world each year for the exciting San Fermin festivities. The festival takes place from July 6th at 12:00 PM to July 14th at 12:00 AM and includes many traditional events, the most famous being the running of the bulls called encierro.
