For the third straight year, the Gators are one win away from a national title.
The Gators had a chance to clinch their third straight Southeastern Conference title, but the opportunity slipped away in their regular-season finale.
The Gators proved to be one big tease up until their final at bat.
They took the hard way, but made it look easy.
For a minute, the Gators hopes at continuing on to the NCAA Championships looked like they were going to be crushed. The men’s golf team finished day one of the NCAA East Regional on Thursday at +11, putting them 16 strokes behind the leader in 10th place.
After two games at Auburn, Florida has 16 runs, 22 hits and two wins.
If Hannah Rogers could take two pitches back, the Gators would not be on the verge of elimination from the NCAA Tournament.
Though rain delayed their match for more than two hours, the Gators’ momentum was not dampened.
