The crowd in Gainesville exploded as bucket after bucket sank. Shooters couldn’t miss, and fans sporting orange and blue were in awe of the offensive showing.
It all started with some boos.
It’s not the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, but tonight’s matchup on the hardwood between Florida (13-8, 5-3 SEC) and Georgia (12-9, 2-6 SEC) still carries great importance as the SEC season reaches its median for both teams.

The Florida men’s basketball team defeated Vanderbilt on Saturday 61-55 in Nashville, Tennessee, for its second road win of the season.

Coach Mike White has stressed that his team has played better offensively than defensively recently, and it was on full display in his team’s second-half collapse against Mississippi State on Tuesday.
Florida’s loss to No. 1 Baylor on Saturday shouldn't have surprised most people. UF was an unranked team coming off of a loss, while the Bears came into Gainesville touting a 15-game winning streak.

For the second time in a week, a top-four team graced a sold-out O'Connell Center with its presence.

The Gators men’s basketball team welcomes No. 1 Baylor to the O’Dome on Saturday in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, making this the third season in a row that Florida has faced the top team in the country. UF has also never won a regular-season matchup against a No. 1 team, losing its last 13 attempts.
