No. 16 Gators fall apart in loss to No. 15 Volunteers

No. 16 Florida 13-5, 7-3 SEC) suffered one of its worst performances of the season and lost to the No. 15 Tennessee Volunteers (15-4, 8-2 SEC) 4-1 Friday evening at Barksdale Stadium. The Gators got off to a rough start in doubles and began to surge late; they eventually succumbed to the opposing team’s blows.

No. 16 Gators keep on rollin’

The No. 16 Florida Gators (12-4, 6-2 SEC) pounced the Missouri Tigers (10-11, 1-8 SEC) 7-0 Friday evening at Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex. The Gators were hot from the jump; they convincingly stole the doubles point and kept up the pace for the remainder of the match to clinch the Southeastern Conference match win.

No. 19 Gators bury Rebels in SEC battle

The No. 19 Florida Gators (11-4, 5-2 SEC) fired on all cylinders and defeated the Ole Miss Rebels (8-8, 2-6 SEC) 4-1 Sunday afternoon at Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center. The Gators started strong and earned their third consecutive doubles point and continued to charge throughout singles.

No. 19 Gators pull off upset against No. 3 Wolverines

The No. 19 Florida Gators (9-4) orchestrated a 4-1 win against the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines (11-3) Wednesday afternoon at Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex. The Gators capitalized off an early doubles point victory and continued their thrilling play throughout the singles round.

No. 68 Wildcats upset No. 18 Gators in Gainesville

The No. 18 Florida Gators (8-4, 3-2 SEC) lost to the No. 68 Kentucky Wildcats (8-6, 2-3 SEC) 4-2 Sunday afternoon at Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex. The Gators started slow and surrendered the doubles point which proved consequential in Sunday’s final outcome.

No. 21 Gators fend off No. 32 Gamecocks

The No. 21 Florida Gators (7-3, 2-1 SEC) defeated the No. 32 South Carolina Gamecocks (6-6, 1-2 SEC) 4-1 Saturday afternoon. Florida earned its second consecutive ranked win and improved its all-time record against the Gamecocks to 47-5.
