Pretty much everyone agrees that 2016 was a terrible year in general, but in a year with a lot of downs, we had some amazing music to carry us through those tough 365 days. There were dozens of perfect albums that came out last year, but here are my personal top 10 releases of 2016.

The show will feature reunion sets by local punk legends Strikeforce Diablo, I Hate Myself and Army of Ponch. This event will also serve as an LP release show for Deadaires, a band based out of St. Augustine, Florida, with strong ties to Gainesville through its members, who have played in bands like Against Me! and Palatka.
Night Bass prodigy AC Slater is set to perform in Gainesville on Wednesday, giving underground electronic fans and mainstream listeners alike a chance to see the producer in an intimate setting.
The Lonely Biscuits will play at High Dive tonight as part of their Midwest & Beyond tour.
Indie-folk musician and UF graduate Nicholas Roberts will return to his roots this weekend with a show at The Bull, located at 18 SW First Ave., on Saturday.
