Gators win NCAA Men’s Outdoor Championships for third-consecutive year

The No. 3 men’s and No. 5 women’s teams traveled to Eugene, Oregon, for the NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships. On June 8, the men’s team became triple consecutive NCAA DI Outdoor Champions for the first time in Florida’s track and field history. The next day, the women’s team kept Florida’s momentum flowing to place runner-up.

Gators kick off outdoor season at FSU Relays

Florida’s strongest performances came in the field events. Senior Abraham Sargent placed 1st in the men’s javelin throw with his personal record distance of 77.46 meters. This marked 5th on UF's All-Time Top 10 List and 6th in the NCAA for 2024. Senior Melanie Welsing placed 3rd in the women’s javelin throw with a personal best throw of 30.72.

Gators Cross Country open their season with a top-3 finish for the men and women

After a two week hold on the season, Florida Gators running made their Fall 2023 debut on their home course at the Mountain Dew Invitational. Fifteen total colleges competed with all 15 competing on the men’s side and 14 on the women’s. This totaled to 178 runners in the men’s 7800 meter race and 139 in the women’s 3 mile, with Florida’s men’s team finishing in 3rd and the women’s in 1st.
