As students continued registering to run for Student Senate on Monday, Impact Party had a slight increase in applicants while Progress Party saw few students apply.

In the past week, we’ve tried to give this new administration the bene t of the doubt. We’ve talked about choices, keeping in mind that statistically, half our readership voted for our new president. Though we’ve expressed hesitation at some of his more bombastic orders, we have tried to hope that in the end, moderation would win out. But we cannot do that anymore.

Students with disabilities more at risk for bullying, study shows

Nicholas Gage, a UF assistant education professor, alongside Chad Rose, a University of Missouri assistant education professor, analyzed confidential self-reports from students in Connecticut from 2011 to 2013, Gage said. Out of 6,531 students involved in the study, 1 in 5 students with disabilities reported being bullied, while 1 in 7 students without disabilities reported the same, according to the study published in November.
