Fie Scoobie hosts back-to-school children's backpack drive

In between signing backpacks, making TikToks and taking pictures, Alachua county families stocked up for the school year. Children and parents alike were ecstatic to meet a local celebrity and get a chance to be featured on his social media. After the event, Fie Scoobie expressed his gratitude to be able to give back to the community he grew up in.

'Not here, not now, not ever': Activists protest possible Florida detention center

Protesters gathered outside Camp Blanding Joint Training Center, a training facility for the Florida National Guard near Starke, Florida, on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Despite a heat index of 105 degrees, over 250 activists lined neighboring roads out of fear the training base will become the next Alligator Alcatraz.
