Gators fall to No. 12 in new AP poll

The Gators (3-1, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) loss to Mississippi Saturday caused them to fall eight spots in the new Associated Press poll. UF checks in at No.12 this week , while Georgia falls to No. 11. Alabama jumps up to No. 2 after their win in Athens, Ga. and former No. 1 Southern California slides to No.9 following its loss to Oregon State.

Volleyball set for match against Mississippi

The Gators, fresh of their 3-0 (25-19- 25-17, 25-21) win against Arkansas, make the trip to Oxford, Miss. Sunday to take on the Rebels. UF is 26-0 against Mississippi under coach Mary Wise. The Rebels (6-5, 2-0 SEC) are coming off a 3-1 win against South Carolina Friday night. The Gamecocks had won 10 straight matches before the loss. Mississippi is led by freshman outside hitter Katie Norris who is averaging three kills per set this season.

UF volleyball to take on No.21 Colorado State

UF, fresh off of its 3-1(25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 25-18) win over Colorado Thursday night, will now make the trip to Fort Collins, Colo. where they will take on No.21 Colorado State Saturday. The Rams come into the game riding a 17 match home winning streak. They were undefeated at home last season. The Rams are led by senior middle blocker Makena Barnes, who is averaging 13.4 kills for her last five matches.
