Brandon James and other injuries update

There's not much to report, but here's what Urban Meyer said on Brandon James not playing today.

"There's certain things we expect of you on and off the field," Meyer said. "He didn't fulfill his obligation this week so he didn't play."

Meyer said James should play next week against FSU.

James' absence was definitely noticed today as the Gators weren't able to get their strong field position as often. Jarred Fayson had just eight punt return yards on two returns, and Louis Murphy had three returns for 41 yards. One of Murphy's returns was for a decent 22 yards, though.

In other injury news:

-Defensive lineman Lawrence Marsh has a foot issue and hobbled off the field under crutches.

-Defensive tackle Mike Pouncey has a hyperextended knee, according to Meyer.

-Linebacker Brandon Spikes also has been suffering from tendonitis in his knee, but it isn't serious.

-Cornerback Joe Haden also has a sprained ankle, but the seriousness of it is not known.
