Why Stetson Might Win:
The average margin of defeat in the Hatters' four losses is 21.5 points. They haven't exactly been playing top-5 teams either. Stetson has faced only one opponent in a major conference: South Florida, who they lost to 86-44 last week. While UF is prone to playing careless basketball, it would take outstanding efforts from every player on the Hatters' roster.
Why UF Might Win:
It's more of a should-win, or need-to-win, as opposed to might-win. This is one of those games on the schedule that the Gators simply must have, and it shouldn't even be close. UF may have the talent advantage at each position on the floor and they will look to regain some confidence after their last heartbreaking loss. Maybe Henry will find an opportunity to throw down a dunk … just as long as she doesn't have to catch an entry pass into the post. The Gators will work their pick-and-roll to death, and I imagine Coach Amanda Butler will use the game to work on different rotations or offensive schemes.
Final Word:
After opening the season with five straight games against teams that reached the 2007 NCAA Tournament, the Gators get an easier foe Monday. While a hangover from Friday's tough loss against Florida State may be possible, Stetson isn't a team that's going to come and force the issue. Look for UF to win handily.
