Newest wrinkle to the offense: Aaron Hernandez

Aaron Hernandez's performance in the South Carolina game solidified a spot for the freshman tight end on the Gators' offense.

Hernandez turned a short pass from quarterback Tim Tebow into a 55-yard reception. He was the fourth player to record a 50-plus catch this season.

"He'll be involved in the offense from here on out," UF coach Urban Meyer said. "We need a guy like that. He's fast, he can catch and he's a mismatch for a linebacker that would cover him. That just gives us one more weapon."

His reception against the Gamecocks wasn't his first impressive play of the year.

Hernandez was the target of Tebow's famous "jump pass" play against Kentucky to score his first touchdown this season.
