Fashionistas rejoice — Henri Girl Boutique plans to reopen its Gainesville store closer to campus Friday.

The new location for Henri Girl Boutique will be in the Roberts Stadium Club at 1802 W. University Ave., Unit 2, across from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, said Caleb Keime.

With its old location in Butler Plaza, Henri Girl is known for its large assortment of fashionable and affordable clothing, shoes and accessories.

T store manager for Henri Girl Boutique’s Tallahassee location, Lauren Coward, said that despite doing well in Gainesville, the old location wasn’t right. The store decided to open in a more popular location for girls to shop closer to UF.

“The store should be the same as the Tallahassee store with a young seal for college girls with a more trendy atmosphere,” Coward said.

Even though the boutique is popular among sorority girls and college students, Henri Girl is for customers of any age for any occasion.

“I think Henri Girl has everything you need for whatever situation,” said 20-year-old health science junior Crystal Williams. “No matter if it’s to go out with friends or for a professional setting, Henri Girl’s has a good variety.”

Starting in 2007 in Tallahassee, owner and Florida State alumna Cassandra Gordon expanded her boutique to California and now in Gainesville.

Public Relations Coordinator Caleb Keime said that Gordon, a Miami-native, chooses college towns for her stores because they’re smaller towns with the need for young and up-to-date clothing.

“Henri Girl is a shopping environment that girls can consider a true specialty boutique experience with affordable price,” Keime said.

Keime said that Henri Girl works hard for fashion-forward, well-designed clothing that can be purchased for less than $100. The Gainesville store will feature more orange and blue items to cater to the Gator girl.

The buying of clothing should be different since they will try to incorporate what local girls wear, Keime said.

The boutique plans to launch a website with more product variety in the spring.

“We want to create luxurious looks with an inviting feeling where customers feel important, taken care of and excited to shop here,” Keime said.
