Florida gymnastics has leaned on a mix of experienced veterans and emerging newcomers early in the 2026 season, with freshmen and a graduate transfer already shining.

No. 3 Florida added four freshmen and one transfer to its roster ahead of the season, and that group has contributed to the team’s depth as the Gators navigate Southeastern Conference competition and nonconference meets.

Graduate transfer eMjae Frazier has made the most immediate impact. The former University of California, Berkeley, standout has appeared regularly in Florida’s lineups, bringing consistency and experience to a young rotation.

During her time at California, Frazier regularly served as the team’s anchor and produced high-level postseason outings across multiple events. As a sophomore, she broke the NCAA's all-time single-season scoring record with 673.0625 points. The following year, she was named All-ACC in each discipline. As a junior, she propelled her team with 34 podium finishes, ranking third on the Golden Bears.

She has brought the same intensity early in Florida’s season. Against Auburn on Jan. 23, Frazier recorded a 9.925 on beam for the second time this season, doing so against Alabama Jan. 16. In the Gators’ opening meet, she competed in three different events and scored a 9.925 on floor.

Frazier has been consistent, delivering routines that have helped Florida in tight meets. Her ability to handle pressure has been clear, making her a reliable option as lineups continue to change.

Freshman Amelia Disidore has worked her way into the rotation as the season has progressed. Competing primarily on vault and bars, she has shown improvement with each outing, adapting to the pace of collegiate competition.

Disidore has scored 9.875 and 9.825 on vault competition. She also scored 9.875 and 9.90 on floor. Early in the season, Disidore has demonstrated the ability to compete in different events. Additionally, she now competes alongside her sister, junior Gabby Disidore.

Prior to arriving at Florida, Amelia Disidore competed at the 2023 World Championship selection camp, served as a member of the 2023-24 Senior National Team and participated in the 2024 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships and the 2024 Core Hydration Classic.

Freshman Maddy Dorbin, a five-star recruit out of high school, serves as a valuable depth piece for Florida despite not appearing in a meet yet this season.

Before becoming a Gator, Dorbin won bronze medals at the 2023 Development Program Level 10 National Junior F floor exercise and at the 2024 Development Program Level 10 National Senior C balance beam. Additionally, she was the all-around champion at the 2024 Made in the USA Invitational, Atlanta Centennial Classic and Hilton Head Island Invitational.

Jocelyn Sasson has competed early in the season on floor. The freshman's performance has stood out in limited opportunities, giving Florida another option as lineups are adjusted.

While Sasson has competed only against No. 11 Auburn, she took advantage of that opportunity by scoring a 9.825 on floor.

During her time as a five-star prospect, Sasson was the all-around, floor and vault champion at the 2024 Region 8 Level 10 competition. She also won a bronze medal for vault at the 2024 Development Program National Championships Senior A. In the 2025 Championships, she improved to a silver medal in vault.

Depth has been a significant strength for Florida under head coach Jenny Rowland, and the early-season contributions from the freshmen and Frazier have demonstrated that. The ability to rotate quality newcomers into lineups has allowed the Gators to manage workloads while producing strong scores across all events.

As the season continues, Florida’s newcomers are expected to take on more demanding roles, particularly as the Gators face SEC foes and approach postseason competition. Through the opening stretch of the year, the freshmen and transfer have already proven to be valuable pieces in Florida’s pursuit of a championship.
