The Alligator opinions section thrives on local and student voices.
This Fall we are looking for columnists to join our staff. Columns run around 500 to 750 words and take a stance on a topic of the writer’s choosing. Columnists typically write about Florida politics, student life, identity and other pertinent topics. Once hired as a columnist, you’ll be expected to contribute two to three pieces a month.
We also want to invite the community to submit one-time columns to express their points of view.
Applications are now open! Contact our opinions editor mhoward@alligator.org with any questions or columns.
