In last year's rankings, UF held the No. 47 spot. This year, UF fell to No. 53, making it the second-ranked university in the state.

On behalf of the UF Police Department, I would like to welcome all of our new students, as well as returning students, back to campus. I also want to take this opportunity to discuss our department, convey the mission our staff strives to achieve daily and introduce each of you to the programming and coordination our department provides that may help you safely enjoy your stay while living, studying and working within the UF and Gainesville communities.
