There are many resources available to freshmen students to help them adjust to college life. Resources for freshmen include the CWC, resident assistants and student organizations.
In the Fall, students elect district representatives senators who represent students per their dorm or off-campus district. Students will get to vote for Change Party, Gator Party, Vision Party and Pizza Party in the upcoming election cycle.

Idalia made landfall as a Category 3 storm roughly 90 miles west of Gainesville at Keaton Beach 8 a.m. Aug. 29. While initially predicted to bring large wind and rain to Alachua County, the area was mostly spared. With the departure of the hurricane, a gradual return to normalcy is underway. Many institutions, including UF and local schools, have reopened their doors after temporary closures due to the storm's threat.
UF announced its campus will be closed at noon Tuesday and will remain closed Wednesday due to potential Hurricane Idalia in a UF alert. SFC canceled classes for Tuesday and Wednesday at 4 p.m. Monday.
