Gonzales denied the writ of habeas corpus, authorized illegal, warrantless wiretapping, and lied to Congress about firing U.S. attorneys before ultimately resigning after losing the confidence of Congress members from both parties.

Fayson, Pupello to transfer
Nov. 26, 2007UF sophomore wide receiver Jarred Fayson has asked for and been granted a release from the football team in order to transfer to another school, a UF official confirmed Tuesday afternoon. Fayson, who had 12 catches for 148 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games this season, did not play in Saturday's win against Florida State. In addition, redshirt freshman tight end Trent Pupello has also been allowed to seek a transfer.
