UF falls to LSU in second round of SEC Tournament

The Gators muzzled the Bulldogs on the defensive side of the court on Wednesday night.
The Florida Gators men’s basketball team entered the 2019–20 season with high hopes following a top-10 recruiting class and the addition of highly sought transfer Kerry Blackshear Jr. from Virginia Tech. UF began the season as the No. 6 team in the country.
The second time is not the charm.
Everything that could go wrong, went wrong for the Gators in Knoxville, Tennessee, when they lost 63-58 to the Tennessee Volunteers Saturday afternoon.
Florida is trying to prove last year’s Final Four run wasn’t a fluke.
After a Wednesday night game where the once-reeling Gators convincingly defeated LSU 81-66, it’s apparent that UF is approaching the end of the regular season on a high note.

Glover took a peek at the rim and threw the ball up where it found the hands of forward Keyontae Johnson, who slammed it down and sent the crowd at the O’Dome into a frenzy.
The margin of error for the Gators is shrinking.
With only a few days left in February and the end of the regular season looming in the distance, it’s once again Bracketology season.
Florida nearly punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-straight year on Saturday at Kentucky.
A major reason for Florida’s newfound success this season has been the on-court relationship between guards Kiara Smith and Lavender Briggs.
The Florida Gators lost in dramatic fashion to the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington, Kentucky, on Saturday. With both teams on win streaks and SEC supremacy in the balance, it came down to the wire.
It was 57-53 in favor of the Gators.

The Gators fared better in Jacksonville’s wet conditions than the Dolphins did on Tuesday night.
Saturday night was a spectacle.
Florida guard Brylee Bartram caught the ball in the right corner with her back to the hoop. She immediately turned around and threw it up.
