Senior Ellie Lazzari felt the pressure as she stepped on the mat for the uneven bars. A hard fall in the landing of her vault routine forced numerous deductions to tally a 9.150 for her in the apparatus.
UF junior Leanne Wong kept the Gators afloat as they struggled in parts of their meet against Auburn. Wong clinched the leaderboard spot on both the uneven parallel bars and the floor exercise. On the bars, she earned the highest score of a 9.950 just ahead of two other Florida gymnasts.

The No. 2 Florida Gators (29-5, 6-1 SEC) finished second in the National Final with a score of 198.2375. The Oklahoma Sooners (25-2, 3-0 Big 12) finished in first with a 198.3875. The Utah Utes (12-3, 5-2 PAC-12) and Louisiana State Tigers (8-5, 4-3 SEC) finished third and fourth with scores of 197.9375 and 197.5250, respectively.
The No. 2 Florida Gators (26-4, 6-1 SEC) will advance to the Women's Gymnastics National Championship after they finished second in Session One of the National Semifinal with a score of 197.400. The Louisiana State Tigers (8-5, 4-3 SEC) finished in first with a 197.4750.
Despite Thomas’ devastating injury, the Gators prevailed and moved on to the semifinals of the NCAA Championship. Florida advanced forward in their region but settled for second place — behind only the California Golden Bears — in its first meet without Thomas.

Thomas earned the title of Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Year, and DiCello was named SEC Freshman of the Year. The Gators’ accolades come less than a week after their SEC title win.

The No. 3 Gators (12-2, 6-1 SEC) competed in a four-team meet against the No. 25 Washington Huskies (6-11, 0-6 Pac-12), North Carolina State Wolfpack (12-8, 8-4 ACC) and Texas Woman’s Owls (8-12, 0-0).
