The third annual Texas/Indiana tri-meet at the O’Connell Center concluded after Day 2, and while the men’s swimming team did manage to escape with a victory over three-time defending champions Texas, there was not a whole lot of success anywhere else.
During Day 1 of the Texas/Indiana tri-meet at the O’Connell Center, the Florida swimming and diving team mostly lagged behind both of their opponents.
After a 25-day break, the Florida men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will face the Texas Longhorns and the Indiana Hoosiers on Friday and Saturday in the O’Connell Center.
More than 9,000 people competed in the Maccabiah Games in Israel over the summer. Of them, 1,120 represented Team USA, and of those, only one of them was Florida Gators swimmer Kelly Fertel.
