The UF men's and women's swimming and diving teams used a combined 14 first-place finishes and five NCAA provisional qualifying times over the weekend to each pick up wins against Indian River Community College, while the No. 5 men also defeated No. 12 Purdue twice and the No. 7 women topped Arkansas at the O'Connell Center.
Former UF swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte set a new American reocrd in the 200-yard individual medley on Thursday at the USA Short Course National Championships with a time of 1:40.08.
The UF men's swimming team defeated Kentucky 165-129 Thursday afternoon in Lexington.
The UF men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host Michigan in a heated matchup this weekend.
