The Florida Gators lacrosse team started its season 0-2. However, UF has since gone on a 20-game win streak and is now two wins away from the program’s first national championship.
The No. 10 Gators (20-2, 6-0 AAC) rolled into their quarterfinal matchup against No. 4 Maryland (14-6, 4-2 ACC) on the nation’s longest winning streak of 20-straight wins. UF cruised to a 15-9 win over Maryland to advance to the Final Four for the second time in program history.
The Florida men’s golf team earned the No. 3-seed in the West Lafayette Regional after securing five regular-season tournament victories and a spot in the SEC championship match-play quarterfinals. The Gators needed to place within the top five in the regional to secure a trip to the national championship.
After up-and-down seasons, both Gators men’s and women’s tennis failed to make runs in the NCAA Tournament.
The Gators women’s team ended the three-day event at Percy Beard Track in third with 101 points. Meanwhile, the men’s team finished in fourth place with 100 points.
After an appearance in the match play quarterfinals of the SEC championships, the No. 14 Florida men’s golf team will fight to defend its 2023 title in postseason competition at the three-round West Lafayette NCAA regional from May 13-15.
The No. 10 Gators (18-2, 6-0 AAC) avenged their most recent loss resoundingly Friday evening, cruising to a 17-8 win over North Carolina (10-7, 6-3 ACC) in the First Round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Tournament.
No. 15 Florida placed 13th in the SEC tournament and failed to claim the top-8 mark to qualify for match play in the quarterfinals.

Florida junior Alicia Dudeney was on her game, besting Morris in straight-sets, and ultimately, earning the winning point in the No. 14 Gators (17-8, 11-2 SEC) 4-0 first round win against Stetson (15-7, 10-0 ASUN) Saturday.
The No. 9 Florida lacrosse team (17-2) experienced deja vu Saturday after defeating 18th-ranked James Madison (13-5) 21-11 in the American Athletic Conference Championship for the second year in a row.
The No. 23-ranked Florida Gators men’s tennis team (13-12, 6-6 SEC) faced off against the UCF Knights (19-5, 4-3 Big 12) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. In a dramatic finish, the Knights knocked off the Gators 4-3 to advance to the next round of the tournament.
The Gators lacrosse team advanced to the AAC Tournament Final after defeating Vanderbilt 17-8, Thursday. The AAC Final is at 1 p.m. Saturday.
