The No. 7 Florida Gators opened their series against the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners looking to win the series opener in a home series for the first time this season. Florida, however, dropped the series opener in nine innings on Thursday.
No. 8 Florida was in a tied rubber match against No. 10 LSU through five innings. From there, the Gators surrendered eight runs in the bottom of the sixth to lose in run-rule fashion.
The No. 8 Florida Gators had a chance to take the series against No. 10 LSU on Sunday, however, the Tigers came out on top in walk-off fashion in the second game of the series.

Facing a three-run deficit in the fifth inning, the top of Florida’s order looked to give the team a spark. Freshman right fielder Taylor Shumaker lined a single to left field, and junior catcher Jocelyn Erickson walked to put two runners on to start the inning.
With one out, the bases loaded and her squad down by two, Florida first baseman Reagan Walsh laced a ball past the Tigers’ diving first baseman. Two runners – senior center fielder Kendra Falby and shortstop Rylee Holtorf – crossed home to tie the game.
After a month of action away from the diamond, 18 games and 14 wins, Florida starting pitcher Keagan Rothrock finally made her return to the circle on Saturday.
With homers from junior Kenleigh Cahalan and sophomore Mia Williams, Gators softball outlasted the Tigers, 11-7.
