DJ Duo Dusty Bits to perform at Back To School Bash event

Lucid Nightlife, an electronic music events company based in Gainesville, is hosting its third edition of their Back To School Bash concert Thursday at Simon’s Nightclub, located at 8 S. Main St. The biannual event is held during the first week of each semester, and has been consistently growing since its inception in August 2016.

With summer nearing its end, it’s important to reflect on everything it has brought us as we prepare for fall — especially the music. Out of the countless new releases from music’s newcomers and veterans alike, audiences plugged their headphones into great tunes this season. Here are the reigning champions of summer music.

Things to do in Gainesville before the end of Summer B

Yet another Summer B term has gone as quickly as it came, but there are still a few days left before the short break between semesters ensues. If you haven’t had the time to take advantage of the many different things our city has to offer, now is your chance. Although you have to be 21 or older to get a local beer at Swamp Head Brewery or First Magnitude Brewing Compnay, there are plenty of other things available for the college student in need of cooling off. Here are a few things to check off your Gainesville bucket lists before the short Summer Break is upon us.
