Columnist’s argument flawed
By Doug Martin | Oct. 20, 2010Brian Amos’ column shocked me by its blatant disregard of the facts. Ronald Reagan, John Tyler and Herbert Hoover are not first, second or third on the vast majority of scholars’ presidential rankings. A C-SPAN poll conducted in 2009 of presidential historians had Reagan at 10, Tyler at a measly 35 and Hoover at a slightly better-than-measly 34.
