Florida lacrosse secures sixth win in Big South vs. AAC matchup

The No. 8 Florida Gators (5-3) lost to the No. 7 James Madison Dukes (8-1) 14-9 in a top-ten battle. JMU proved its spot in the rankings and came out on top after it played three quarters of catch-up.
The No. 8 Florida Gators (5-2) dominated against the Colgate Raiders (1-5) and won 18-5 in the first and only night game of the season Tuesday. The Gators faced moments of frustration in their last game before heading to Harrisonburg, Virginia, to play their current biggest threat — No. 7 James Madison.
The No. 10 Florida Gators (4-2) defeated the No. 7 Loyola Maryland Greyhounds (5-1) 14-11 in Saturday’s action-packed matchup. UF fought hard against one of the best passing teams in the country and secured its fourth win of the season.
The No. 7 Florida Gators (3-2) defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils (1-3) 17-12 in their fifth game of the season. Head coach Amanda O’Leary knew this would not be an easy win.

The No. 7 Florida Gators (1-2) were defeated by the No. 6 Maryland Terrapins (3-1) 14-13 in their third game of the season. The Gators put up an admirable fight, going shot-for-shot through the majority of the game.
The No. 7 Florida Gators (1-1) were defeated by the No. 1 North Carolina Tar Heels (3-0) 12-5 in the second game of the season. Sitting at No. 2 in total saves in program history, redshirt senior goalkeeper Sarah Reznick made 14 saves against UNC.
Florida assistant coach Nicole Levy — along with several players of the UF women’s lacrosse team — are from Long Island, New York — a lacrosse hotspot. Most players on the team moved to Gainesville from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Connecticut.
The Florida Gators (1-0) defeated the Michigan Wolverines (0-1) 17-8 in the first game of the season. LoPinto led the way on her career day. She scored four goals and provided three assists for the Gators.
