Three Gators finish in top 20 at National Invitational Tournament

The No. 21-ranked Florida women’s golf team traveled to Augusta, Georgia, to compete in the Valspar Augusta Invitational Saturday.
The Florida Gators’ women’s golf team hosted the tournament at Mark Bostick Golf Course Saturday and Sunday. The original 54-hole invitational was modified to 36 due to weather conditions.
The Florida men’s golf team traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the Southern Highlands Collegiate. The tournament began Sunday and wrapped up Tuesday.
Florida’s women’s golf team traveled to Melbourne, Florida, to compete in the tournament Feb. 19. After finishing in 12th last week, the Gators secured third place — trailing Louisiana State and Northwestern — with an 18-under-par 864.
The Florida women’s golf team placed 12th in its first tournament of the season at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge.
The Florida Gators men’s golf team took first place at the Vystar Credit Union Gators Invitational Sunday for the fourth consecutive time and the 29th time in program history. The invitational took place, Feb. 11-12, at the Mark Bostick Golf course. The first 36 holes were set to take place on Saturday, and the last 18 holes Sunday.
The Gators sat in fourth place after day one. The team shot a 287 in round one- and a 283 in round two. Florida trailed Charleston by three strokes before it came back on day two to secure the win.
