People converge on Southwest Recreation Center for cornhole tournament

Fifty-two teams came to compete this Friday in the annual cornhole tournament at Southwest Recreation Center. The tournament was single-elimination style and along with prestige, the winning team was also awarded an official cornhole championship T-shirt.

Florida Organic Growers holds fundraiser hoedown

The Florida Organic Growers held the first ever Harvest Hoedown fundraiser Sunday evening at Prairie Creek Lodge, adjacent to Paynes Prairie. A local band played folk music while participants stepped to the beat.
