UF sophomore pitcher Kevin Chapman will miss the remainder of the season, coach Kevin O'Sullivan said in a statement Wednesday. The left-hander hasn't pitched this season, for a team with little depth in its pitching staff.
Chapman recently underwent season-ending surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament. First baseman Brandon McArthur underwent the same procedure last season.
"While this is disappointing news for Kevin, his family and our team,
we are hopeful that he can begin the rehabilitation process right away,"
head coach Kevin O'Sullivan said. "Kevin is someone whom we will be
counting upon when he returns next season."
