No Southern Accent hopes to start year on right note

No Southern Accent plans to recruit new vocalists, compete at festivals and record its second album. Half of the group’s 16 singers graduated in the spring, so it plans to recruit eight new members this semester. Auditions are from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday in Room 357 of the Reitz Union.

Adam Samei’s eyes darted across a flood of unfamiliar faces. He walked along the sidewalk near the University Auditorium, searching the buildings to find a landmark he recognized.

Students and residents invited to discuss presidential search

The university will host an open forum from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Presidents Room of Emerson Alumni Hall to discuss what type of qualities the next UF president should have. Attendees can give their input regarding UF’s character and accomplishments and its future president.
