Caglianone impresses in pitching debut as No. 7 Gators sweep Charleston Southern

In his highly anticipated pitching debut, Caglianone held the Charleston Southern bats at bay, allowing just two hits and striking out nine in No. 7 Florida’s (3-0) 8-0 win over the Buccaneers (0-3) Sunday afternoon. Sunday’s win gave Florida the opening series sweep coming on the heels of 13-3 and 16-2 mercy rule victories Friday and Saturday.

Florida dominates Charleston Southern in another mercy rule victory

The Florida Gators (2-0) defeated the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (0-2) 16-2 Saturday at Condron Ballpark. Florida’s seven-run fourth inning paved the way for a second-consecutive mercy rule victory.
