The Harn Museum of Art’s Museum Night celebrates Indigenous Peoples’ Day

The vibrant colors and sounds of the beaded jingle dresses and feathered headdresses and the beat of the drums gave a Harn Museum audience a dynamic show for all the senses. This was only the beginning of the festivities for the celebratory holiday of Indigenous Peoples’ Day at the Harn Museum of Art Thursday night.

Gainesville’s new Ronald McDonald House boasts space for 20 more families

The plan for the new Ronald McDonald House began seven years ago, when Chief Executive Officer Sherry Houston decided she needed to do something to shorten RMH’s long waitlist. The house was fully booked 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, and turned away 1,962 families in 2021 alone.

Gators leave Chapel Hill as 2023 Tar Heel Invitational champions

The team teed off Monday at the Governors Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. UF came out victorious in the 14-team tournament. Senior Maisie Filler shot the second lowest score in program history in the opening round. Her impressive 8-under 64 first round lead the way for the Gators. Filler’s outing earned her first place on the player leaderboard through the first 36 holes.
