This will be the first time the Gators compete since March because their 2020 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Incoming freshman Michael Fiore signed with UF, the Gators announced Wednesday.
What most would consider a difficult season came to an end for Florida as the SEC Championships, the fourth and final meet of the season, took place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Friday.
The Florida men’s and women’s cross country teams will travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to compete in the SEC Championships at the LSU Cross Country Course Friday morning. This is the fourth time that LSU will host the championship meet.
Both Gators cross country teams finished in the bottom half of their respective races at the Blazer Classic Friday, with the men finishing sixth and the women finishing ninth.
Florida will travel to Alabama to compete in the Blazer Classic for its last meet of the regular season Friday. This is the first time in program history that Florida will run in this meet hosted by the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Florida traveled to Tallahassee for their second meet of the season, the FSU Invitational. The men’s squad finished fourth, while the women’s team finished seventh.
Friday brings the second meet for the Florida cross country team, as they travel to Tallahassee to compete in the FSU Invitational at Apalachee Regional Park. Both the men’s and women’s teams look to finish as they did last year: first.
The opening meet of the season for Florida took place Friday morning as the Mountain Dew Invitational took place at Mark Bostick Golf. The Gators took third as they welcomed three ACC schools to the Swamp in Florida State University, University of Miami, and Georgia Tech.
