I’m an avid quote collector. In my room, there’s a bright red journal that’s filled to the brim with quotes on quotes on quotes.
1. Disney movies are lies. (Fabulous, but all lies).
I’m fortunate enough to be surrounded by absolutely wonderful individuals who constantly provide words of wisdom to guide me through life.
Many times in our lives, we find ourselves on the verge of breaking down. Whether it’s because of school, a relationship or life just being a Grade A Pain in the A**, we’ve all been there.
Every day, we take things for granted. Whether it be our parents, clean water, Nutella, our professors, etc. it’s easy to forget how privileged we are.
There is one aspect of humans I find to be remarkable: our resilience. Think about it.
This week, I tried something a little different. I’ve always been curious about what makes some people likable and others…well, not so likable. So I created a short survey and spammed it all over Facebook. My apologies.
Last semester, I read a fascinating book called “Marry Him: The Case for Settling for Mr. Good Enough” by Lori Gottlieb (I know the title doesn’t sound encouraging, but just give it a chance).
When people discover I’m a Gainesville resident of 10 years, they often look surprised then sympathetically say: “Wow, you must get so bored over the summer.” And I would vigorously nod my head in agreement.
