With renewed scrutiny over Student Government’s ability to handle our money, I feel as though it would be a great idea to go over how the budget works, especially with the new class of 2023 likely scratching their collective heads.
UF Inspire Party Senators Zachary Amrose and Zachariah Chou have collected more than 1,000 signatures for a petition to pass a bill that would transfer $800,000 from Student Government reserves to fund student organizations.

About 50 people gathered at Cypress and Grove Brewery Sunday evening for a bingo game hosted by Plenty of Pit Bulls to help raise money for their dogs. The event featured prizes donated by local businesses that guests could play to win. There was also a raffle. Plenty of Pit Bulls is an organization that rescues and rehabilitates dogs from overcrowded shelters. The dogs are put in foster homes to be house trained and matched with families.
UF isn’t exactly known for its diversity, but one would expect a bit more from the nation’s eighth best public university. With recognition across the country and students from all over the world, it would make sense that a school of this quality would represent the whole country. Unfortunately, the Gator Nation is not as culturally diverse as one would hope.

A less rare, but still unusual expression of remembrance is to have the ashes of a loved one turned into a synthetic diamond. Couples have even used such stones as their engagement rings or wedding bands.
