Florida football postpones game to Sunday

Florida announced Saturday’s football game against the Eastern Washington Eagles is postponed to Sunday at noon due to Hurricane Ian. The move comes after UF canceled classes Wednesday through Friday this week due to the storm.

Florida overwhelmed by defensive shortcomings, still winless in SEC

Mistakes made by defensive coordinator Patrick Toney’s unit were too much to overcome as the Gators were sent home from Knoxville still winless in the Southeastern Conference. Now-unranked Florida fell to now-No. 8 Tennessee 38-33. Despite the close score, the game seemed all but over heading into the fourth quarter. The Volunteers held a three possession lead over head coach Billy Napier.

South Carolina stuns No. 12 Florida in five sets

South Carolina snapped Florida’s seven game winning streak in five sets (25-20, 21-25, 25-17, 22-25, 7-15) with a Sunday matinee comeback win at the Carolina Volleyball Center in Columbia, South Carolina. It is Florida’s first loss in Southeastern Conference play and a tough blow for a squad that was one set away from a weekend sweep.

Florida soccer collapses against Georgia

“This was our worst performance of the season." Those were Florida head coach Samantha Bohon’s words following the Gators’ 3-0 loss against Georgia Sunday. UF’s losing streak is now extended to five matches on the season.

Florida can’t make magic happen in Knoxville, drops first road game

The Gators fell 38-33 on the road against Tennessee. Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker had a career day, throwing for 349 yards and running for an additional 112. Richardson had a bounceback performance for the Gators, throwing for a career-high 453 yards and adding 62 on the ground, but it wasn’t enough to keep up with the UT offense. 


The Gators set high expectations for the 2022-2023 season as one of the most represented universities on the U.S. National Team.

The Gators set high expectations for this season as one of the most represented universities on the 2022-2023 U.S. National Team. These athletes proved their eligibility to swim with the United States in international competitions by scoring a top-six time in any individual Olympic event of a US-sanctioned event, a Federation Internationale de Natation-approved competition or an international competition.

No. 12 Florida extends win streak to six with sweep of Alabama

Florida volleyball extended its winning streak to six games and kicked off Southeastern Conference play with a sweep of Alabama at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center Wednesday night. The Gators moved to 51-0 all-time against the Crimson Tide, with 47 of those wins coming in straight sets.
