Despite lack of crowd, out-of-towners put on good show

On Feb. 5, 2006, The Rolling Stones broke all sorts of attendance records playing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. On, Oct. 5, the Lakeland band Joon played its first show in Gainesville, breaking a personal record in low attendance: eight people. If you count the bartender and the band members' girlfriends, the number rises to a staggering 11.

It appears that being president of Student Senate wasn't enough for him. Now that Robert Agrusa has ended his term for Student Government, he's moving into real-world government. Or at least the Gainesville City Commission.

What They're Working For

(Jennifer Keil / Alligator) Construction worker Gary Augustine takes a brief midday break from his job working on the Gateway of Champions project at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The addition will expand the weight room, coaches offices and Gator Room, which acts as a recruiting center for future Gators football players, according to the project's Web site. It is projected to be finished in June 2008, according to UF's Facilities Planning and Construction Web Site.

Football player was treated unfairly

Garrett Tyler and Jack Berry appear to have nothing to do with Tony Joiner. But there are moral lessons to be learned from Gators athletes leaving their sport and a football player's run-in with the law.
